Audition Recordings
We will use recorded mp3 auditions. Refer to the Guidelines page in this section for specific audition directions. Auditions will be uploaded and scored in the Festival Scores audition management system.

Selection Guidelines
- The Choir shall have 200 participants total.
- Students in grades 6 thru 8 are eligible.
6th graders with changed voices only are allowed to audition on Tenor or Bass in the Middle School District Honor Choir at the discretion of the director. - Students will audition via mp3 recording through Festival Scores. Audition recordings must be uploaded by the audition deadline.
- Schools will pay an audition fee for each student that submits an audition.
- The top 50 scores in each voice category will be selected to the honor choir. One qualifying student from every district.
- There will be THREE alternate quartets selected. Those students will be notified by the MS Choir Chair if they are to perform.
- Students will audition using Dona Nobis Pacem. PDFs are found on the KMEA All-State Middle Level Choir Auditions page. Tenors may audition on either the key of C or A-flat for their district audition.
